The Sundre Curling Club has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1950 by a dedicated group of volunteers. Over the years, the club has evolved with the changing times, updating its bylaws and incorporating upgrades to meet the needs of its members. In 1962, the club achieved a significant milestone by introducing artificial ice to its original rink, a testament to the progressive mindset of its volunteer-driven organization. This rink served the community faithfully until 1988 when the new state-of-the-art, four-sheet facility was constructed and opened its doors.

For over 35 years, the new facility has been a cornerstone of the Sundre and surrounding area, providing exceptional service to its members. In addition to the curling amenities, the club also boasts a volunteer-led Swimming Pool, located adjacent to the Curling Club, thereby offering additional recreational activities. Both of these endeavors are proudly supported by the Sundre Agricultural Society, which plays a pivotal role in their continued success. The lounge and kitchen facilities at the club further facilitate the hosting of larger competitions and social events.
At the heart of our organization are our dedicated volunteers, who provide the lifeblood necessary to ensure our continued success. As we look to the future, our vision is to create an environment that is welcoming and safe for all participants. We want to extend an open invitation to anyone who wishes to join our club and experience the joy of curling. Our goal is to provide a variety of curling options that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our community members. So, if you're looking for some fun, we encourage you to come over and check out what we have to offer. The "Open for Business" sign is proudly displayed, signifying our commitment to inclusivity and ensuring that everyone can find their place in our thriving curling community.
